Jade Monkey is the English speaking arm of a Vietnamese family travel business based in Thanh Hoa Province in northern Vietnam. But it is unique in having a Scottish link to ensure that you have the highest quality of visitor experience - our speciality is to take you personally to find the 'Hidden Charm' of Vietnam.

We go with small groups of visitors to the places in northern Vietnam that most tourists never reach. You can go in our beautifully restored American Jeep, or have the comfort of a modern 4 x 4 vehicle, or choose the freedom of a motorbike - or any combination of these.

This site has two main parts. In the first part are the 'Costs & Details' and the 'Tours' Sections for our visitors; information about our guided explorations of northern Vietnam. The second part of the site has 'Pictures' and writing about 'Viet Life' in northern Vietnam - and this we hope will whet your appetite for travel in the country, or maybe simply allow you to 'travel' within the comfort of your own home.
